The trip lasts 6 days and 5 nights, departing from Hanoi and passing through most of the famous landmarks in the western region of Vietnam. Tour Details

Day 1: Ha Noi - Mai Chau (distance 170km)

Unlike other Vietnam motorcycle tour operators, we devote time every year doing route research in order to give riders simply different and better touring paths, such as today's motorbike trip to Mai Chau. The route may be duplicated, but the journey is unique to us.

At 8:30 a.m, depart from the western side of Hanoi. After 45 minutes of riding, we will be on a rustic country road passing through several rural towns nestled between hills and rice fields. Lunch is in Tan Lac – Hoa Binh province, and the afternoon ride promises to be one of the greatest motorbike excursions in North Vietnam, with stunning views of mountains, rivers, and charming cottages on stilts. We'll arrive at Mai Chau Valley around 5:00 p.m. Stay at a Thai family's house.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Phu Yen (distance 150km)

Breakfast is served at 8:00 a.m. It's a simple and peaceful riding day, so after breakfast, we may take it easy with a brief tour about the village to discover more about the fascinating everyday lives of the Thai people. After saying our goodbyes to the hosts, we continue our Northern Vietnam motorbike tour to Moc Chau, going up to higher areas to get out of the valley, we will see more villages of the Mong people. When we get close to the Moc Chau plateau, we'll take a turn to a little quiet road called Hua Tat pass, which is an old French-built route with a beautiful view of the mountains and a great motorbike ride.

After lunch in Moc Chau, we'll ride our bikes all the way down to the Da River Lake, where we'll cross the river to Phu Yen. We will have a magnificent ride along the Da river before arriving at Phu Yen town, which might be the highlight of this Northwest Vietnam motorbike trip. The journey is reminiscent of a motorbike excursion around the coasts of Central and South Vietnam. We'll end the day at 4:30 p.m. at the hotel in the small town of Phu Yen.

Day 3: Phu Yen - Mu Cang Chai - Than Uyen (distance 210km)

At 7:30 a.m., “Pho” is served for breakfast. We leave about 8:00 a.m. for the journey. Another feature of our motorbike journey in North Vietnam will be crossing some lengthy, winding mountain passes that provide views of the towering mountains with terrace crops. We will make many photo stops and visits to the H'mong, Thai, and Dzao people. We'll arrive at Than Uyen about 5:00 p.m. Dinner and a hotel stay.

Day 4: Than Uyen - Sapa (distance 110km)

This brief motorcycle excursion to Sapa must be the highlight of the vacation; the ride to Sapa from Than Uyen is largely on sealed roads, but it gives stunning views of the highlands. The first part of the ride goes up and down steep roads past huge, green tea farms. The remaining half is all up and up to about 1600 meters, where we nickname the town in the clouds - Sapa. Lunch is served there.

After checking into the hotel, we'll have another short motorbike trip through the Muong Hoa Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in North Vietnam, where tourists generally stroll and hike through to visit various ethnic villages and photograph the towering terrace farms. We will return to Sapa town around 5:00 p.m.

Day 5: Sapa - Thac Ba Lake (distance 220km)

It's a long day's ride! This Sapa motorbike journey to Thac Ba lake is lengthy, and there is no way to escape the 40 kilometers on highway No 70. 

The day begins at 8:00 a.m. We will take a tiny mountain route just after Sapa town to avoid the tourist main road to Sapa. This trip is roughly 30 kilometers long and takes you past several H'mong and red Dzao villages, providing excellent opportunities for photographs of picturesque terrace paddy fields. After the mountain road ride, we'll arrive at Lao Cai town, where we'll have some delicious local coffee and view the Chinese border. The journey after that is on a winding mountain road, although it may be busier, so we need to pay more attention to the road for approximately an hour before turning back to back-roads for another wonderful motorbike ride to Thac Ba lake. We'll arrive at the lake about 4:00 p.m. If time allows, we can take a brief boat ride around the lake.

Day 6: Back to Hanoi (distance 180km)

There are a few different ways back to Hanoi, but they're almost all busy.
