Ta Xua is a remote mountainous area in Vietnam. However, instead of being less known, Ta Xua is becoming a hot spot among traveling enthusiasts, especially off-road bikers. For this reason, we would like to share with you the itinerary of the offroad motorbike tour Ta Xua.
We took a 4-day offroad tour from Hanoi to Ta Xua, so we had to handle the 220km riding route on the first day. Honestly, this was quite challenging for beginners, but we were excited about the mission.
After 2 hours, the first destination of the tour, Thanh Son tea hills, unfolded in front of us. We spent a few minutes there drinking tea and enjoying biscuits to refill energy for the actual challenge ahead.
After finishing the tea break, our team headed for the uneven and steep roads to the top of Ta Xua. Although the motorbike route was tough, we felt relieved thanks to Vietnam's splendid and magnificent mountainous views. Riding our offroad motorbikes along the road, many ethnic villages on the hillsides opened up and sent peace to our souls.
Finally, we arrived at the camping point in Ta Xua, which is 2850m above sea level. We could literally touch clouds there. A hot and delectable BBQ party is a great end to the first day of the motorcycle tour.
The second day of the motorbike tour kicked off by visiting an iconic spot of Ta Xua, the dinosaur backbone. We took many amazing photos of the fluffy clouds and the magical beams of the sunrise. Then, we returned to the village, had a tasty breakfast, and prepared some snacks for the next 90 km route.
We reached Black River and rode our offroad motorbikes to discover the pristine and mysterious jungle surrounding it. In the wilderness, apart from the rough and uneven terrains, we had to deal with the muddy paths and the powerful streams that triggered the tension in our muscles.
For this reason, we fancied Ngoc Chien village with the natural hot water supply to relax more than ever. Thank God! Our crew managed to conquer the jungle and went straight to the hot water supply. We soaked ourselves in the hot bathtub and relieved our fatigued muscles.
On day 3 of our motorcycle tour, it was also full of steep, muddy, and slippery roads. However, it didn’t matter. Our purpose in coming to Vietnam was to conquer the tough off-road route, so we were determined to finish the journey.
We went through a tranquil and primitive jungle that looked like a limitless green picture. The clean and fresh atmosphere inside the jungle brought a fundamental source of energy for our lungs, so we could boost our stamina for the upcoming ride.
After completing the steep slopes and rocky terrains in the jungle, we went to the hot water supply to indulge ourselves in the relaxing bathtub.
We still traveled across a stream surrounded by cornfields on the last day. The yellow and thriving corn fields combined with the crystal stream water create a colorful picture.
When crossing the Red River, we could see the lively trading life of people occurring on the river from the dike. It was an interesting experience to witness the busy life of local people from a panoramic view.
After 60 km on the road, we arrived at Trung Ha bridge and returned to Hanoi.
The offroad motorbike tour Ta Xua is truly a lifetime experience for any off-road biker. If we have a chance to come back to Vietnam, we won’t hesitate to try the tour once again. The dreamlike scenery of the mountainous area in Vietnam will stay in our memories for good.
