Day 1 Hanoi - Ta Xua Motorcycle Trip

We spent a few hours learning the basic transportation rules in Vietnam at the tour office before starting our motorbike. Then, we began the off-road motorcycle tour with a 15 km smooth route from Hanoi to Phu Yen town. We refilled our energy with a delectable lunch in Phu Yen town to prepare for the rough terrains in the center of Phu Yen town.

The 30 km of hilly and narrow roads in Phu Yen town could not slow us down. The road was surrounded by streams and rivers, so the atmosphere was airy and clean. However, it was a scary experience for any beginner. 

After finishing the 30 km route, we headed to Bac Yen town and relaxed with a tea break there. We decided to opt for the 12 km smooth hilly road to Ta Xua peak instead of the off-road terrain because we were quite exhausted with the previous 30 km route.

When standing at the highest point of Ta Xua, we could literally touch the clouds and feel like we were standing on them. You should bring a raincoat with you to avoid getting wet in the foggy weather. A cozy and tasty BBQ party was an ideal end for the first day of the motorbike tour.

Day 2: Ta Xua - Ngoc Chien Hot Water Supply Motorbike Tour

Since the climate in the mountainous area was cold in the morning, we warmed up our bodies after waking up by drinking hot ginger tea.

The second day of the motorbike tour was truly a hardcore test for any off-road bikers. A 155 km off-road route from Ta Xua to the Ngoc Chien hot water supply with a lot of obstacles was awaiting us. 

We experienced both the smooth and uneven terrains, passed some ethnic people’s villages, washed our faces to refresh our energy by the riverbank, and took some photos on the high mountains. 

Finally, the Ngoc Chien hot water supply opened up in front of our eyes as a precious reward. It took us a few minutes for the accommodation procedures, and we went straight to the hot water tubes to recover from the hardcore routes. Today could be the top off-road Vietnam motorcycle tours.

Day 3: Ngoc Chien Hot Water Supply - Nghia Lo Off-road Motorcycle Route

The must-do activity in the morning in a Vietnamese mountainous area is drinking warm beverages like ginger tea since it can maintain your body temperature. Therefore, we took ginger tea, had breakfast, and went for the last kilometers of the offroad tour.

The 288 km motorbike route on the third day began with a trip to the peak of La Pan Tan. We decided to choose the off-road route to reach the La Pan Tan top. The panoramic view of the organized terraced paddy fields from the peak was an incredible reward for our effort. 

However, if we can join the off-road Ta Xua Mu Cang Chai trip next time, we will go for the long road to La Pan Tan peak. Riding along the long road will give you a chance to visit Tu Le and the Khau Pha pass. 

We enjoyed our lunch in a local Nghia Lo town restaurant before going back to Hanoi and finishing our off-road tour.
