Detailed Agenda

Day 1: Hoi An to Hue (distance  160km)

We will enjoy one of the greatest motorbike excursions through central Vietnam's coasts in the morning, riding along the coastal route to Da Nang. Then we'll climb up to the famed Hai Van Pass, where we'll have lots of photo opportunities. After the pass, there will be lunch.

We will arrive in Hue at 4pm and spend a night in a hotel there.

Day 2 : Hue City's Charm is a must-see, discovering Hue.

We will have a full day to explore Hue, the historic capital. To visit various renowned sights such as Minh Mang imperial mausoleum, forbidden city, Thien Mu temple, etc., we may either ride a motorcycle or take a cab. 

Hue is where you'll spend the night.

Day 3 : Hue Motorcycle Tour to Vinh Moc Tunnel and Khe Sanh (distance 170 Km) 

We're getting set to go on a motorbike tour along the Ho Chi Minh Trail today. We'll go north to the DMZ after Hue to view some renowned historical relics and learn more about the Vietnam War. Visiting the Vinh Moc tunnel complex, in particular, provides you a unique perspective on life, conflict, and peace. After that, we'll take a offroard motorbike tour to Khe Sanh in the west, stopping at the Khe Sanh Military Base on the way to the hotel to get a sense of how brutal the war was.

Vinh Moc (Vnh Mc) is a tunnel complex in the Vietnamese province of Quang Tri. It was strategically positioned on the border between North and South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The tunnels were created to protect residents of Son Trung and Son Ha communes in Vinh Linh county, Quang Tri Province, in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone, from heavy bombardment. The inhabitants of Vinh Moc were suspected by American forces of giving food and munitions to the North Vietnamese garrison on the island of Con Co, which was obstructing American bombers on their route to Hanoi. The plan was to compel the people of Vinh Moc to flee the region, but there was nowhere else to go in Vietnam. The locals constructed the tunnels to transfer their hamlet 10 meters underground, but American soldiers designed explosives that went 10 meters underground. Against all obstacles, the residents eventually submerged the settlement to a depth of 30 meters. It was built in phases starting in 1966 and was in service until early 1972. Wells, kitchens, rooms for each family, and healthcare areas were added to the complex as it developed. Around 60 families resided in the tunnels, with up to 17 children being born there. ….

Day 4 : Khe Sanh to Phong Nha, Ke Bang National Park (distance  220 km.)

Today is the tour's high point. On the Ho Chi Minh Trail, we will undoubtedly have the finest motorbike tour. As a specialist in Vietnam motorbike tours, we opted to ride on the western Ho Chi Minh route, which is 220 kilometers long and gives spectacular views of the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, especially because there are few other vehicles on the trail. We will have a pleasant motorbike journey straight to Tan Ky - Nghe An province after lunch.

Day 6: Tan Ky to Mai Chau (distance  240 Km)

After breakfast, continue on a motorbike trip through the Ho Chi Minh Highway to Ngoc Lac, where we will have lunch. Then we'll travel to Vietnam's western hilly region. From here, we'll embark on a fantastic Vietnam motorbike tour across the mountain passes, taking in the dramatically different scenery than the days before. At 5 p.m., we'll arrive at Mai Chau Valley. Overnight in Mai Chau - stay at a Thai family's home.

Day 7: Back to Hanoi from Mai Chau (distance 170 KM)

Before taking a motorbike trip to Hanoi, we take a brief stroll around the valley to see several Thai villages and learn more about Vietnamese culture while enjoying the serenity of Mai Chau's verdant valley. We will depart for Hanoi at 10 a.m., and after a wonderful motorbike ride through the highlands of northern Vietnam, we will stop for lunch in Hoa Binh town. Then it's back on the road to Hanoi, where you'll end your 7-day Vietnam motorcycle tour on the Ho Chi Minh trail safely before rush hour.
