Today we will ride on morobike to Mai Chau,the Northwest of Vietnam that
offers a balance of cultural and physical activities set amongst some northern
Vietnamís stunning natural landscapes. We will ride through the villages of Mai
Chau and overnight at the White Thai village where we have opportunities to
observe the local lifestyle of these minority people.
Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau (L/D) ~ 170 KM
We ride on motorbike and head west towards Hoa Binh city where we stop
for refreshments and visit Hoa Binh hydro station built in the 1980s. Leaving
Hoa Binh, we ride towards Mai Chau valley, about another two hours away to White
Thai village. Enjoy the stunning views while lunching on tasty local dishes
cooked by the White Thai people. Afternoon we walk /or ride motorbike to the
surrounding villages. Our hosts for this evening will be the White Thai minority
people. In sampling these peoples hospitality, we find out a little more of
their lives and cultures with a cultural exchange following the evening meal.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Hanoi (B/L) ~ 150 KM
Following breakfast we embark on a lovely walk to Lac village and Van
village. As we walk we will encounter the local villagers going about their
daily business tilling the fields, logging or herding the buffalo. We enjoy
lunch in Mai Chau before we ride back to Hanoi. Visit Muong village in Hoa Binh
before tour finish at your hotel in Hanoi.

What To Bring?
We suggest for motorcycle touring with these items:
-CLOTHING: rain gloves, Wellington boots (rubber boots for rainy season from
April to September), summer gloves, balaclava, t-shirts, socks & underwear, long
sleeved shirts, turtleneck shirts, extra jeans, a light jacket, leather chaps,
zip-lock bags, riding boots, bandanas, sunglasses and goggles.
-PERSONAL ITEMS: original Passport, basic toiletries, emergency cash,
sunscreen and earplugs.
-EMERGENCY ITEMS: a first aid kit, emergency contact number, list medical
conditions, list medications, a flashlight, chargers and a duct tape.
-MISCELLANEOUS : a small towel, a bath towel, trash bags, camera and cargo
net...and probably some gifts for children.
